J Matthes Really Easy This one is short and sweet, just like the method. Besides the assembled, painted tracks, you need the appropritate dry pigment color and a Silver pencil.  I paint the tracks with a mix of Tamiya acrylics (40% Xf-1, 40% XF-64 and 20% X-10) just like shown in the spare track writeup. Pigments are applied as well, then simply rub the pencil across the exposed areas of the track links, keeping it as flat as possible. That allows the link texture to show though a bit.  That's it. I said it was simple, right?  Don't forget the sprockets and idlers.
