page 3 I now started on the Aber set. There are a few guide lines that will make it easier to do. - Make sure your workbench is clean before you start, it will be easier to find any pieces that you might drop. - If things needs to be bent it can sometimes be a good idea to anneal it, it will make it a bit softer and easier to bend, but if you apply too much heat the brass will melt. - Make a battle plan and stick to it. Start at one end and work your way around the model, don't skip about and do a bit here and a bit there. I started with the turret and finished it, then I did the roof of the chassis, then the sides and at last I did the front and the rear.    I used the Aber parts where I found them to be an improvement over the kit part or where the kit lacked detail. In some places it would simply be stupid to use the Aber parts, either they are not an improvement over the kit part or, even worse, they are inaccurate. The new fuel tank vent lines were made from 0.5mm copper wire and attached with the small but beautiful clamps from the Aber set. All hatch handles were also replaced by 0.5mm copper wire.  A wire for the missing headlight was also made from copper wire. The base for the missing headlight was made from Evergreen plastic strip Evergreen rod was used for the towing clevis mounts on the rear and the gun cleaning rods on both sides.
